The objective is to discover up-and-coming artists and organizations in the field of traditional performing arts and build a foundation for their activities by strengthening their competitiveness, assisting them in developing their repertoires, and providing them with a stage to showcase their works.
The project is aimed at discovering emerging artists and organizations in each field of tradition and creation (instrumental music, vocal music, Korean dance, and performing arts), helping them develop a repertoire through mentoring and workshops, and giving them the opportunity to put on independent performances.
From 2015 to 2024, 211 rising artists and organizations were discovered to support their activities, and a total of 255 independent performances were staged.
To promote balanced regional development, we also offer separate support for organizations outside the metropolitan area. In 2025, to enhance public accessibility and promote the popularization of traditional arts, we will operate weekly Thursday performances featuring traditional arts as a regular program.
